US Department of State releases video game Trace

The US Department of State has released an innovative video game on their website known as Trace Effects. A spokesperson for the State Department said that the new American English website has been launched by the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. The video game is aimed at improving the English language and teaching about the US culture.

It is also aimed at strengthening the skills of English trainers and teachers. Moreover the material is free, of high quality and is non commercial. This allows it to be easy used for students in the classroom as well as for public audiences.

In the game, students are able to take a virtual journey through the United States as they travel through cities and explore the country.

Gamers can also solve puzzles and learn innovative language skills in a 3-D environment. The plot of the game revolves around Trace, who is actually from the year 2045 and must work through challenging missions by helping out 6 different people.

The game is aimed at kids between the ages of 12 years to 16 years and will help them to understand the basics of community activism, science, innovation, conservation, entrepreneurship, conflict resolution and a host of other skills.
