Disney has been a company that has changed with the times to keep its name going. They have had to be innovative and creative in their undertakings to ensure that they keep young and old minds interested and engaged in what they do. This has led to Disney Infinity – a catch-all video game that brings into play various Disney characters in one gaming space. The game is set to be launched in June, 2013.
The characters in the new video game are taken from Disney and Pixar ventures. Gamers can chose their avatars from a wide variety of options and can play the game in the different environments such as the Monsters University campus, alternatively they can even build their own environments.
Disney says the game is akin to a virtual toy box, where real and animated characters are put side-by-side. In regards to the new concept, the co-president of Disney Interactive John Pleasants said, “With this innovative approach to gaming, Disney Infinity will bring to life new characters, stories and environments from The Walt Disney Company over time in a way that will delight fans and gamers alike.”
The new game is set to be priced at USD 74.99 with add-ons stating at USD 34.99 for the entire play set pack. There are various other costs for infinity figures.
