The upcoming first-person survival horror stealth game Alien: Isolation is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2014. The latest news has been announced by Creative Assembly – the British video game developer – and publisher Sega at EGX Rezzed on March 29, 2014 and the highly-anticipated title is set to be launched on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
Alistair Hope, the Creative Assembly creative lead said in a statement, “We couldn’t be happier to finally announce a date for Alien: Isolation. The reaction we have seen so far has been simply incredible, from the screams and shrieks to the cold sweats and racing hearts. It’s the Alien game that we’ve always wanted to play and we can’t wait to let everyone get their hands on it this fall.”
The upcoming title focuses on series heroine Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda Ripley. Similarly to her mother’s first encounter with the frightening alien species, she becomes stranded and a xenomorph is following her every move.
The game’s early preview showed that extremely intense hide-and-seek encounters seem to be the main point of the gameplay. The recently released Alien: Isolation trailer video highlights the artificial intelligence which is the main force behind the alien’s hunting instincts.
