US-based multinational video game developer and publisher Rockstar Games is getting ready to release its highly-anticipated game ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ (GTA V) for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in September 2013 and fans of the gaming franchise are urging the company to release the game on PC as well. Almost 215,000 people signed the petition asking Rockstar Games to include the PC version of ‘Grand Theft Auto V’.

Even though the new game has been officially announced for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 only, the company did not completely dismiss the possibility of releasing ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ on other platforms, mentioning back in November 2012 that GTA V for PC and Wii U are being considered. Since then, Rockstar Games has not mentioned the possibility of GTA V on PC, but there was a recent job listing at Rockstar Leeds, looking for a graphics programmer who would help the company to bring its latest titles to PC. Interestingly enough, soon after the listing in question was spotted by the press, the studio quickly removed it.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that ‘Grand Theft Auto V’ is scheduled to be released on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17, 2013 in the United States and Europe, while the game will premiere in Japan on October 10, 2013. Apart from that, it has been widely speculated that the studio intends to release GTA V on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well.
