American video game publisher Activision is getting ready for the release of its latest game, Call of Duty: Ghosts and has announced on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 that it will host the highly-anticipated multiplayer reveal event for the game on August 14, 2013. The event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles and will start at 10:30 am Pacific (6:30 pm UK).
The publisher also confirmed that a live stream of the unveiling event will be broadcast via Xbox Live, as well as the game’s official website. Earlier in July 2013, Activision announced that there would be a pre-order bonus – Call of Duty Ghosts DLC – in the form of a multiplayer map titled Free Fall. This will mark the introduction of ‘dynamic map events’ to the game series, which will see battlegrounds that undergo landscape-changing events during matches. The pre-order bonus for the game will first be launched on Xbox.
Along with that, also during July 2013, studio community coordinator at Infinity Ward – US-based video game developer – Candice Capen said that Call of Duty: Ghosts will “have a cooperative mode of sort”. Previously, rumors were swirling that Infinity Ward decided not to go with the Modern Warfare series’ Spec Ops mode and instead opted for a new co-op game type.
Activision has confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on November 5, 2013 on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and it will also be a launch title for Xbox One and PS4.
